Cryptocurrency Start-Up Just Trolled Jamie Dimon With A Full Page Ad In The Wall Street Journal
Back in September, Jamie Dimon was quoted as saying bitcoin was a “fraud,” and that he would sack anyone working for him for trading the digital currency for being “stupid.”
Well, it didn’t take the cryptocurrency world long to respond. In fact, one cryptocurrency start-up published a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal Wednesday to troll the JP Morgan Chase CEO.
Switzerland-based start-up Eidoo launched Wednesday with the WSJ publicity stunt. The company has created a digital wallet for people to hold ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market cap. Eidoo also has plans to launch a debit card for users to spend both ethereum and bitcoin, as well as an exchange to trade both.

The stunt likely didn’t come cheap for Eidoo as full-page ads in the WSJ cost upwards of $250,000, according to the newspaper.
However, the cost seems comparatively small considering the company was able to cut through the noise currently surrounding the cryptocurrency world. Cryptocurrencies like ethereum and bitcoin have seen huge rallies this year, thanks to rising interest from institutional investors, and some favorable regulations in countries like Japan.
